Meet Dr. Brock A. Andersen, MD, FAAD

Dr. Andersen, originally born in Boise, ID traveled the world and gained experience before coming to Fruitland, ID with his wife and 7 children. He did foreign studies abroad in Russia and Israel, prior to serving an LDS mission to Brazil for two years in 1994-1996 and still speaks fluent Portuguese. Prior to joining the Navy and entering medical school he worked at UPS unloading trucks, and later as a supervisor at their Salt Lake City hub.  After leaving UPS he worked as a laboratory technician at ARUP laboratories, as well as driving ambulance at Gold Cross in Salt Lake.   He joined the Navy in 2000, later deploying to Iraq as the Battalion Surgeon of 3rd Battalion 4th Marine Corps Infantry, and then returned home to spend two years as a Naval Medical Officer at the US Navy submarine base in Bangor, Washington prior to entering dermatology residency at the University of Iowa.

His education is as follows:

  • BS in Zoology from Brigham Young University 1999.
  • MD degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, 2004
  • General Surgery Internship, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, 2005
  • Dermatology Residency, University of Iowa, 2009.

Dr. Andersen is board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology.  He enjoys spending time with his family, and all outdoor activities as well as reading.

Meet Thad Wilkey, PA-C

Thad Wilkey earned his degree in Physician Assistant studies from Idaho State University. Prior to joining Snake River Dermatology, he cared for patients as a dermatology physician assistant in Nampa, Idaho for over 16 years.

Thad was born and raised in Pocatello, after graduating from Idaho State University Thad and his family moved to Boise. Thad is a member of the AAPA, NCCPA and SDPA. He is married to his wife of 26 years, Lori and has three sons and one daughter. He enjoys skiing, fly fishing, rafting and camping.

Meet Hailey Alexander PA-C

As an Idaho native, Hailey grew up in the small farm town of New Plymouth riding horses and going on outdoor adventures. She went to Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California where she ran on both the track and cross-country teams for three years before returning to finish her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Boise State University. During her semester abroad with Duke University in Costa Rica, unique experiences studying tropical medicine and helping underserved communities solidified her aspiration of becoming a PA with the goal of providing high-quality, comprehensive healthcare.

She attended PA school at Touro University Nevada and completed dermatology training here at Snake River Dermatology with Dr. Andersen.
Prior to joining Snake River Dermatology, Hailey cared for patients in obstetrics and gynecology.

In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, spending time with family and horses, as well as country swing dancing.
